Lip Fillers & Dermal Fillers

As part of the natural ageing process the contours of the face and lips change due to loss of naturally occuring Hyaluronic Acid (HA) and other skin volumisers. This results in the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Our most popular fillers are: Lip Fillers, Lip augmentation, Nose Fillers, Jawline Fillers, Cheek Fillers & Tear Trough.

The difference between anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers is that the former relaxes the muscles whereas the filler plumps up the creases to make the skin look smoother and more youthful. The body naturally consists of hyaluronic acid but as we age this is lost causing the appearance of creases and folds. Dermal fillers consist of hyaluronic acid gel that is injected and replenished into the skin.

The effects can usually be seen immediately and last between 6 to 12 months, so follow up treatment is recommended.

Juvederm

Juvederm is a family of injectable hyaluronic acid dermal fillers that offers the highest concentration of cross-linked hyaluronic acid of any dermal filler on the market. Juvederm also has been shown to deliver facial rejuvenation results for up to six months or longer.

The Juvederm family of dermal fillers consists of gel-like injectables that are designed to improve facial volume. In addition, Juvederm offers an ideal dermal filler for those who want to combat the signs of aging, as it enables an individual to treat facial lines and wrinkles immediately.

What Types of Juvederm Are Available to Patients?

Several types of Juvederm are available:

  • Juvederm Voluma XC: Serves as an injectable gel that goes into the cheek area to correct age-related volume loss.

  • Juvederm XC: Helps an individual reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles and folds, including nasolabial folds.

  • Juvederm Ultra XC: Provides an injectable treatment for the lips and skin around the mouth.

  • Juvederm VOLBELLA: Boosts lip fullness and soften the appearance of lines around the mouth.

    What Is the Juvederm Procedure?

Juvederm offers a viable alternative to a traditional facial surgery because it does not require an individual to go under the knife. In fact, all Juvederm products contain Lidocaine, a local anesthetic that helps make the Juvederm procedure virtually painless.

During a Juvederm procedure, a practitioner may apply a topical anesthetic into a patient’s upper and lower dental block. Then, Juvederm is injected below the skin or into the lips with a fine needle. After the procedure is completed, an individual will need to apply ice to the affected area.

A Juvederm treatment delivers instant results. Within about 24 hours of a procedure, an individual should expect to see improved skin volume.

Our Aesthetics practitioner will ensure a patient can enjoy a safe, reliable Juvederm treatment, one that will deliver proven results.

What Should You Expect After a Juvederm Treatment?

Some of the most common side effects of a filler procedure include:

    • Redness of the skin

    • Skin tenderness

    • Mild swelling

    • Bruising along the injection sites

The side effects of a filler treatment often will dissipate within about three to five days. As such, little to no downtime is needed after a Juvederm procedure.

Our Aesthetics Medical Practitioner will help an individual get ready for a fillers procedure. Our Practitioner will respond to any patient’s concerns or questions before, during and after a fillers treatment to ensure this individual can enjoy optimal results.

Hand Fillers

Following the trend in facial cosmetic procedures, patients are now increasingly requesting hand rejuvenation treatments. Intrinsic ageing of the hands is characterised by loss of dermal elasticity and atrophy of the subcutaneous tissue. Thus, veins, tendons and bony structures become apparent.

Application of local aesthetic cream from 20-30 minutes prior treatment helps minimise any discomfort. Hand rejuvenation helps add volume and improve sagging of skin for a more youthful fresher appearance.  This treatment can generally last up to 12 months.
